THE STORY BEHIND THE EBEID FAMILY FUND SCHOLARSHIPS

In 2009, the Ebeid Family Fund was established by late Arab American businessman and philanthropist Russell J. Ebeid. Mr. Ebeid was driven by a desire to make a difference in educational opportunities for underserved youth.  In its inaugural years, the scholarship program focused on supporting Arab American students studying engineering at Kettering University.  Now in its fourteenth year, the scholarship program has expanded even further to include additional universities and majors. Since its inception, the Russell J. Ebeid Scholarship Program has awarded over 240 scholarships and granted over $824,000 in funding, leaving a tremendous lifelong impact on hundreds of students.

ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP

The intent of this scholarship is to support students experiencing financial hardship who are studying in the graduate nursing program at Lourdes University. Students also must be interested in cooperative education and an opportunity to become successful in their collegiate careers. It is anticipated that the Ebeid Family Fund Scholarship for Graduate Nursing Students will be $4,000 per student and may be renewable for up to 4 years for students meeting Lourdes University’s satisfactory academic progress standards and the Ebeid scholarship standards. The scholarship, combined with other financial support, will allow its recipients to gain from the same kind of experiences Mr. Ebeid had as a student.

Applications are now open. Applicants must download and review application instructions before submitting. Applications due at 11:59pm on Friday, October 20, 2023.
