As we kick off this year’s session of the Teen Grantmaking Initiative (TGI), we want to extend our congratulations to Khadeja Rizvi, a three-year executive TGI member and now an alumna.
During her time in this CAAP program, which teaches young people the skill of grantmaking, Khadeja and her peers raised thousands of dollars in support of youth-related causes. Beyond the direct community impact she made, Khadeja demonstrated exceptional leadership by guiding the program’s direction, leading meetings and mentoring other members through onboarding and training.
“Joining TGI was one of the best decisions I made in high school. It introduced me to the world of philanthropy, connected me with like-minded peers and opened doors to countless opportunities and programs that shaped my future,” shares Khadeja.
Having completed the program, Khadeja is now pursuing her bachelors degree at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor in Computer Science. Mabrouk, Khadeja!
