Friday, March 16, 2018 marked an incredibly special occasion: CAAP’s inaugural Threads of Giving Gala. Held for the first time in Houston, TX, the long-awaited event delivered spectacularly, and represented a milestone in CAAP’s evolution.
CAAP honored Dr. Farouk Shami, entrepreneur and founder of Farouk Systems, Inc., with the very first Outstanding Arab American Philanthropist of the Year award. Farouk, a man known for his generosity towards a multitude of inspiring causes, was cheered on by friends, family and well-wishers.
To close out the evening, world-renowned musicians Le Trio Joubran thrilled with a special set, which culminated with all three Joubran brothers together playing one oud – delighting all in attendance.
All of us at CAAP are extremely proud of this event and grateful for all of the support that was garnered – we can’t wait for the next one!
