The wave of discriminatory actions against individuals who speak out against the injustices in Gaza is deeply concerning. Many are experiencing severe repercussions such as job losses, having personal information shared with malicious intent, and even violent threats or physical assaults, simply for expressing their views.

In the face of this alarming trend, the work of Palestine Legal has become increasingly vital. They offer essential legal assistance to those facing repression due to their support for Palestine. Recognizing the urgency of this situation, the Center for Arab American Philanthropy (CAAP) launched a campaign to support its Palestine Legal Fund.

Below, we outline some of the initiatives we have led to support Palestine Legal’s vital work.

Palestine Legal Fund Bake Sale | January 11, 2024
Community youth leaders Yasmine Fardous and Malaak ElHage hosted a bake sale at Newora Cafe with proceeds supporting the Palestine Legal Fund.

Chess Fundraising Tournament for Palestine | February 5, 2024
In partnership with the Wayne State University Collegiate Chess Club, we hosted a chess tournament in support of the Palestine Legal fund. The event also featured an art action from Zaynah J Art.
