On Saturday, September 28, the Center for Arab American Philanthropy (CAAP) hosted our sixth annual Threads of Giving Gala, honoring the 2024 Outstanding Arab American Philanthropists of the Year, Michael and Hoda Kardoush.
At the event, we witnessed just how beloved and respected the Kardoushs are within their Houston community, with over 250 community members gathering to celebrate their lifetime of giving and resilience. We learned about their story in this video. In these times when many of us feel heartbreak for our homelands, the Kardoush’s strength serves as an inspiration to us all.
We enjoyed a stunning performance from an ensemble from the internationally acclaimed, National Arab Orchestra (NAO).
Once again, thank you for demonstrating the impact of Arab American collective generosity. In these challenging times, community is more important than ever, and we found so much love and energy in this Houston community.
