The Arab American National Museum (AANM), the Center for Arab American Philanthropy (CAAP) and the National Network for Arab American Communities (NNAAC), all national institutions of ACCESS, is directing $493,500 in general operating support to 30 arts and culture organizations reflecting the immigrant experience. This initiative is supported by The Wallace Foundation.

The three institutions were part of a national grantmaking cohort of 12 organizations rooted in communities of color. They were selected by The Wallace Foundation as part of their Advancing Well-Being in the Arts initiative, which funds arts and culture organizations rooted in communities of color to advance their well-being, enhance understanding of their contributions to community and ultimately help to build a more equitable and sustainable arts ecosystem.
This grantmaking approach was spearheaded by Wallace to help reach smaller arts and culture organizations across the country. AANM, CAAP and NNAAC worked with this national cohort to collaboratively design a regranting program that provides funding opportunities for organizations in their respective and diverse communities.
AANM, CAAP and NNAAC opened applications in June 2025, inviting arts and culture organizations across the country to apply. Through a thoughtful selection process, they awarded nearly $500,000 in grants to 30 organizations, supporting projects spanning music, literature, film, dance and more.
For AANM, CAAP and NNAAC, this was a critical opportunity to ensure that organizations and initiatives rooted in the immigrant experience receive visibility and resources, especially at a time when so many arts initiatives are facing federal funding cuts.
