A few highlights from fiscal year 2024:
❤️CAAP granted over $2,385,910 to causes around the world.
❤️Of that total, $449,437 was awarded in scholarship support to students across the country.
❤️We hosted giving circles—100 Arab American Women Who Care—in Michigan, Florida and Texas, showcasing the power of collective giving.
❤️Youth in CAAP’s Teen Grantmaking Initiative (TGI) fundraised and granted $6,500 to organizations supporting mental health, healthy coping mechanisms, and education.
❤️We granted $536,584 in humanitarian relief for Palestinians in Gaza through our Disaster Relief Fund, supporting United Palestinian Appeal (@upaconnect) and UNRWA-USA (@unrwausa)
❤️We launched a campaign to support Taawon’s Gaza Orphan Care Program. (@taawonpalestine)
❤️Community members established the Gaza Scholarship Initiative for Displaced Students Fund at CAAP, supporting six Gazan students.
❤️We granted $42,456 to Palestine Legal (@pal_legal) to support legal defense for activists.
❤️We honored Arab American philanthropy by recognizing Michael and Hoda Kardoush with the Outstanding Arab American Philanthropist of the Year Award at our annual Threads of Giving Gala in Houston, Texas.
