Education 

  • Compudopt – provides technology access and education to underserved youth and their communities. 
  • Good Reason Houstonpartners with local school districts to drive district transformation, expand educator pipelines, advance equitable access to great schools, and engage families and communities in the design of solutions that best fit their children 
  • Education and Charities Foundation of Houston – providing positive experiences for under-served youth through: Mentoring & Intervention, Summer Development, Education Empowerment, College Readiness, and Scholarship Assistance  
  • Arabic Immersion Magnet Schoolis one of the first Arabic language immersion schools in the US, and works to provide a duallanguage education

  • Houston Humane Society – ending cruelty, abuse, and overpopulation of animals by adoption, fostering, and offering clinic services. 
  • Amel Association USA – providing mental health support, education, and social support for refugee, asylee, and immigrant communities in Houston, Texas. 
  • American Lebanese Cultural Center – fostering a strong sense of belonging and community among Lebanese Americans, as well as encouraging cultural exchange and understanding between the Lebanese community and the wider Houston population.  
  • Houston Food Bank – America’s largest food bank in distribution leading hunger relief in 18 southeast Texas counties. 
  • Alliance for Multicultural Community ServicesTo create opportunities for refugees, immigrants, and underserved residents to achieve their goals for self-sufficiency and improve their quality of life. 

National Orgs: Gaza Relief 

  • Palestine Legal Fund: Palestine Legal plays a critical role in protecting the rights of those who advocate for Palestinian freedom in the face of relentless efforts to suppress them. 
  • Dalia Association Palestinian Community Fund: The fund’s purpose is to engage the Palestinian diaspora in the U.S. by involving them in supporting community-led development in Palestine 
  • Taawon Fund: Taawon is currently fundraising to provide lifesaving supplies to the countless individuals facing horrific conditions including Food parcels, fuel and medicine, water and hygiene kits 
  • United Palestinian Appeal is in Gaza delivering essential medical provisions, hygiene kits, food, and water 
  • UNRWA is helping shelter Palestinians in their emergency shelters, as well as distributing food, water, blankets, and medicine
