Join us for a very special evening to support the National Arab Orchestra (NAO) and its Building Bridges Through Music Program! The NAO is currently expanding its Building Bridges Through Music program in which non-Arab students prepare a piece of Arab music for a performance with the orchestra; allowing them the chance to experience Arab culture through the NAO’s program curriculum.

The National Arab Orchestra’s mission is to create memorable musical experiences through education and performance with emphasis on the musical traditions of the Arab World. This fund supports the National Arab Orchestra’s operations, as it performs nationally, develops educational programming, and preserves Arab heritage through the arts.

The NAO’s current initiatives include a collaboration with the Toledo Symphony Orchestra, which will debut a combined piece written for the NAO by Emmy-nominated composer Kareem Roustom. Also, a collaboration is being developed between the Arab American National Museum and the Detroit Institute of Arts where new music will be composed for a classic Egyptian silent film premiere. Finally, the NAO is performing two more concerts for the remainder of the 2016-17 season.

Come, support the only orchestra of its kind and enjoy a beautiful evening full of music, fun, and good spirits!
