BUILDING THE NEXT GENERATION OF LEADERS IN PUBLIC SERVICE
Arab American voices must be present in every decision-making space.
Established in 2021, the Arab American Leadership Fund (AALF), housed at the Center for Arab American Philanthropy (CAAP), strengthens political power and public service leadership of divrese communities.
Through summer internships in state and federal offices, and key institutions across Washington, D.C. the fund supports programming that prepares the next generation of public service leaders.
Donations to the AALF directly support the Arab American Leadership Program (AALP), an initiative of the National Network for Arab American Communities (NNAAC).
Why This Fund Matters
The Arab American Leadership Program is the only initiative of its kind designed to increase diverse representation in public service to strengthen our collective voice on policies that affect our community, ensure our democracy is inclusive and ultimately build a more just and equitable future.
For five years, the program has built a career pipeline for future leaders in public service, making these opportunities more accessible by removing financial and other barriers that often limit entry into these spaces.
Giving to support fellows through this fund is a meaningful point of pride for our donors because it’s our community investing in our own future. Give to directly support these ambitious fellows and strengthen the broader career pipeline.
Program Impact to Date

“This fellowship helped me break the systemic barriers that often exist for those of us from low-income and immigrant backgrounds when entering the congressional space. It’s really important for me, and for people like me, to be in those rooms and advocate for legislation that empowers the communities we come from.”
— Sief Salameh, AALP Alumni
