1for3.Org Fund

This fund at the Center for Arab American Philanthropy supports the work of 1for3, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization creating lasting, community-driven support for Palestinian refugees living in UN-run camps in the West Bank, helping strengthen access to water, food, healthcare and education.

Established in 2013, 1for3 partners with local Palestinian organizations, and hires Palestinians to lead and implement its programs.

More recently, it has expanded its critical work beyond Palestine to southern Lebanon, supporting families affected by war, displacement and environmental damage.

1for3 Mission and Impact

1

To help ensure vulnerable communities have access to clean water, 1for3 has focused on improving access to potable water in refugee camps, implemented water-quality monitoring, replaced old rooftop water tanks, built cisterns and trained local residents to do independent water testing.

1for3

1for3 has built hydroponic gardens, rooftop greenhouse gardens, and micro-growing towers, giving families and communities access to fresh produce while conserving water.

3

Through its Health for Palestine (H4P) program, 1for3 partners with the Lajee Center to provide community-based healthcare in five UN-run camps. H4P has trained many young Palestinian professionals as Community Health Workers, delivering care to a community of approximately 80,000 refugees.

4

1for3 founded Zahrat Al-Yasmeen Kindergarten in a UN-run camp, offering a curriculum tailored to the experiences of Palestinian children living under occupation. The school provides trauma-informed learning and employs an occupational therapist to support students with special needs.
