Recently, the Center for Arab American Philanthropy hosted a Twitter chat discussing diversity in philanthropy. To get more people involved in the discussion, we enlisted the help of a few organizations to be co-hosts of the chat. These organizations, AAPIP (Asian Americans/Pacific Islanders in Philanthropy)EPIP (Emerging Practitioners in Philanthropy) and D5 Coalition shared a common interest in the subject. The chat provided an opportunity to learn about our followers’ thoughts and feelings toward the subject, especially concerning ways which organizations and individuals can better understand diversity to serve diverse communities more effectively.
